Hard & Soft tissue Augmentation Techniques (Advanced Surgical Program)

Advanced Surgical Program

Duration - 4 days. This program is tailor made for dentists who are already practicing implant dentistry. Each participant will get a chance to perform one major procedure like Sinus grafting- crestal or lateral, ridge split, GBR or a block graft on patients.

DAY 1 (Osseodensification Workshop)

  1. Biomechanics of Bone
  2. Principles of Osseodensification
  3. Application of Osseodensification
  4. Protocols for
    1. Ridge expansion
    2. Ridge split and Expansion
    3. Immediate Implant placement in Molar teeth
    4. Crestal sinus augmentation with Densah drills
    5. Osseodensification of grafted bone
    6. Osseodensification of soft bone to D2 bone
1:00pm Lunch

2:00pm Hands-on
  1. Osseodensification- animal jaw exercises
  2. Bone harvesting techniques- on animal jaw- bur/ trephine/ piezosurgery
  3. Direct and indirect sinus lift- on eggs/ models
DAY 2

9:00am Lectures
  1. Treatment planning and patient selection for grafting procedures.
  2. Regenerative properties of different Bone grafts
  3. Sandwich bone grafting GBR technique
  4. Tent screw GBR technique
  5. Micro plate assisted GBR
  6. Flap design and Flap management for bone grafting procedures
  7. Potential intra-oral donor sites, as well as techniques for harvesting such sites
  8. Suture material and techniques for bone grafting Procedures
  9. Dual layer closure
  10. Periosteal Pouch technique.
  11. Resorbable and non-resorbable membranes for localized ridge augmentation
  12. Growth factor protocol and results (PRF, iPRF, APRF)
  13. Making Sticky bone using PRF

2:00pm Participants work on patients


DAY 3

9:00am Lectures
  1. The vertical and horizontal aspects of ridge augmentation
  2. Ridge Splitting or Expansion Techniques
  3. Autogenous or Allograft Onlay Bone Blocks
  4. Harvesting of Symphysis Block graft
  5. Harvesting of Block from external oblique ridge
  6. Harvesting of anterior palatal bone
  7. Introduction for Khoury Bone plate technique
1:00pm Lunch

2:00pm to 7:00pm Participants work on patients


DAY 4

9:00am Lectures

  1. Diagnosis and treatment plan the rehabilitation of the posterior maxilla
  2. Sinus augmentation
  3. Clinical and practical benefits of minimally invasive crestal sinus elevation (MITSA)
  4. Technique for performing highly predictable lateral window surgery
  5. Identify a biological protocol using graft materials for sinus elevation
  6. How to prevent and treat complications
1:00pm Lunch

2:00pm to 4:00pm  Participants work on patients

4:00pm to 5:00pm Conclusions, Valedictory & Certificate distribution
